John Wade Snr

He was born in 1884 , the son of London born Thomas Wade and Sarah Ann Else from Hardstoft in Derbyshire.
Photos taken when he was a Shop Boy at Beecrofts General Store.
He went on to become a Policeman, a Licencee of White Lion Public House that was situated on the site of the old Police Station at the top of Market Street
before becoming a Director of SHERWOOD BOX CO on Reform Street.
He lived for years in a nice old house at 45 Church Street, round the corner from the pub that was also demolished to make way for the Police Station.
